SUMMARY:Active Stories - 2026 (Ages 4 to 7)
DESCRIPTION:Read! Move! Learn!\nActive Stories is a FREE physical literacy program for children under 7 years of age. Each session is centered around a children’s story book followed by physical activities based on the storyline. The activities encourage the development of movement skills\, improvisation\, creativity\, and literacy skills. \n\nThe Active Stories program starts on October 3\, 2026 and runs each Saturday through June 26\, 2027\, from 10 am to 10:45 am.\nNew location:  YMCA Child Care Resource & Referral Centre at the Crossroads Community Church @ 2990 Voght Street\, Merritt\n\nWe welcome our new instructor\, Tabitha Hallett\, who brings energy and enthusiasm for literacy and physical activity\, plus a sense of adventure\, to our Active Stories program. \nFor more information\, email literacymerritt@gmail.com.
