Active Stories – 2026 (Ages 4 to 7)

Active Stories is a FREE physical literacy program for children under 7 years of age. Each session is centered around a children’s story book followed by physical activities based on the storyline. The activities encourage the development of movement skills, improvisation, creativity, and literacy skills.

• The Active Stories program starts on October 3, 2026 and runs each Saturday through June 26, 2027, from 10 am to 10:45 am.
• New location:  YMCA Child Care Resource & Referral Centre at the Crossroads Community Church @ 2990 Voght Street, Merritt

We welcome our new instructor, Tabitha Hallett, who brings energy and enthusiasm for literacy and physical activity, plus a sense of adventure, to our Active Stories program.
